Slimming injections are a simple and effective treatment, which is why they are so popular. This treatment involves injecting muscle relaxant injections into the area, relaxing the muscle to give you a softer, smaller appearance in the problematic area. Most commonly, slimming injections are used on the jawline (masseter reduction) for the treatment of excessive teeth grinding or the cosmetic purposes of slimming the lower face. However slimming injections can also be used on the nostrils, calf and neck areas.
How long will the results last?
Clients will expect to see results within the first 4-8 weeks of their treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
For optimal results, we recommend our clients to have 3 treatment sessions, with 4 month intervals between each. Over time you will need lower doses and longer periods between appointments as the muscle atrophies. Your cosmetic nurse will advise what the best follow-up treatment plan will be for you.
Will it hurt?
The procedure is relatively pain-free, with clients reporting they feel a pressure sensation.
Is down-time needed after my treatment?
This will vary from client to client, as swelling and discomfort post-treatment is normal. However depending on the treatment area, and lifestyle activities, down-time may be needed after treatment. Some of the more commonly used areas (jawline, calf), clients may feel a bit ‘funny’ chewing tough foods or exercising. We advise all clients to continue with daily activities with caution and not to over-exert themselves.
